Wataniya Telecom Launches Kuwait's First Multimedia Messaging Photography Competition


'Action' subscribers take 'summer fun' pictures with their MMS enabled mobile phones to win great prizes from Wataniya and Canon

Wataniya Telecom and Naser Mohamed Al-Sayer Communications Co., the sole distributor of Canon products in Kuwait, today launched the first Multimedia Messaging Service (MMS) photography competition to take place in Kuwait. Using their MMS-enabled mobile handsets, Wataniya 'Action' subscribers take part in the competition by sending their best 'summer fun' pictures by MMS to funtec@wataniya.com and get a chance to win great prizes from Wataniya and Canon every week.

The competition will be running until the 13th September where each week, Wataniya Telecom and Naser Mohamed Al-Sayer Communications Co., will award fantastic prizes to the top three contestants, including cutting-edge Canon PowerShot S20 digital cameras, Canon S330 Bubble Jet printers and Wataniya Telecom "summer packs". The closing dates for each round are 23rd August, 30th August, 6th September and 13th September.

Winners of the "Summer Fun" MMS photo competition will be selected by a local panel of judges that includes representatives from Wataniya Telecom and Naser Mohamed Al-Sayer Communications Co.. All winning entries will be published online on http://www.wataniya.com.funtec as of 30th September 2003.
