Largest Athappookkalam being exhibited in Thiruvanathapuram
Thiruvananthapuram: Brooke bond in association with Malayalam Manorama and Asianet have jointly created history with their largest athappookkalam(floral carpet) in the world. It is set in a large area of around 10,845 sq.ft. The athappookkalam is considered to be the largest one ever set and so claims to get entry into the Limca book of world records.
The event manager is Shalini and the team was headed by Mr.Shastri, Mr.Shashank and Mr.Santhosh. The athappookkalam is set in a covered tent at the S.A.P ground, Peroorkada here. The event started on Friday and the athappookkalam was put in a span of one day. The exhibition time is from 3 in the evening to 7 and the entry to the exhibition ground is free. The exhibition ended on Sunday 21st. The athappookkalam is a visual treat and is attracting wide attention of the people in the city and outside the city limits too.
