Indian Stabbed to Death in Muscat

An Indian Citizen from Badkal in Karnataka has been stabbed to death by another Indian citizen from the same area following a serious quarrel over some personal and family related matters. It is leaned that the Indian who was seriously injured in the stabbing case was rushed to the hospital. However, he succumbed to his injuries one day after the attack. The culprit has been absconding since the crime on Thursday . It is also learned that investigation is progressing and the crime happened in the terrace of a Middle Class apartment in a busy market place in Muscat. Even though different theories are floating around about the possible reasons for the gruesom murder, KM is not reporting any of such theories. The competent local police force is investigating the case and trace the culprit as soon as possible. Residents in the locality of the crime said the victim and the accused are staying in adjacent flats. Many residents said that the crime happened but were tightlipped about the reasons for the murder. Badkal community is maintaining a secluded identity from other members of the Indian community there. Since crime reporting is highly restricted in the Gulf country other details of the murder are withheld and is likely to be officially annoucned soon. Such crimes are rare in Oman and the efficient local police will trace the culprit soon.

Bakery worker arrested for double Murder in Iski

Nizwa -- Two Keralites have been brutally murdered and a third one seriously injured at Iski, an interior location near here by another worker today morning. The tragic events followed quarrel among a group of Indian workers of Al Shakri Bakery and Sweets located opposite the Iski Cinema theatre. This is the first time that one Gulf Malayli is killing two of his colleagues and injuring another for job related problems.

According to eyewitnesses, one Gopala Krishnan from Kayamkulam has committed this heinous crime, in which two of his colleagues working in the same bakery died following attacks with a sharp knife. Those who died in the attack are Saju K.J from Ernakulam and Muhari from Trichur. Ismail from Nadapuram, with serious injury is admitted in the Iski hospital for treatment.

Police arrested the culprit who was hiding in the neighboring hills after committing the crime. All the victims are in the age group of 30 to 35 years and the quarrel is related to their job. 'Krishnan was to go on leave from today onwards. When he was told by his Arab sponsor that his visa will be terminated, he lost his mental balance and took revenge upon other workers,' said a resident in the area.

According to eye witnesses all the eight Bakery workers were staying in the same four bedroom house and there was some quarrel with Krishnan, who reportedly lost his job. Local residents revealed that Krishnan was to go back to Kerala by today's evening flights because his sponsor cancelled his visa and terminated his services. On earlier occasions also there were quarrel among the staff and police case. The victims lost their life due to bleeding as they could not be taken to the hospital in time.

Krishnan, who is said to be mentally unstable due to some labour problems, was waiting in the mess with the knife to attack his colleagues who came for breakfast. The bakery staff is working in shifts and those who completed their job in the earning morning came to the mess for breakfast. One of the victims, Saju, had severe injuries on his neck. According to his friends, Saju unmarried,came back from Kerala only two weeks back. The last victim could run away from the room and informed other workers that Krishnan is mentally ill and is waiting to kill others.

Work related stress is one of the major reasons for suicides and criminal tendency among the Keralite community in the Gulf.
