
The drama directed by Sunil K.Vaidhhya, a leading journalist working as Bureau chief of Gulf News Muscat has won the prestigious Mathradas Khimji Memorial Drama Competition Award. Last years winning team of the ISC Kerala Wing did not get any awards as its artists were busy engaged in petty politics, groupism and petty politics. The drama depicting a murder mystery as witnessed by three disabled people - a deaf, dump and blind.
According to the drama Director Sunil Vaidhya, the drama conveys a message that the people we call disabled are not actually inefficient. They may be physically disabled, but that does not prevent them from doing marvellous things. Sunil K.Vaidhya, who has joined the Gulf News long time ago is no stranger to the theatre and entertainment scene in Muscat. When he was working as a sports reporter in the Oman Daily Observer, Muscat before he joined the Gulf News, Dubai, Sunil used to be active in the socio-cultural scenario here.
