A number of media reports suggest that the functioning of Indian social clubs need much to be desired. It is said that their functioning is ridden with issues like lack of transparency, democratic set up, favouritism, corruption etc. They are also said to be keeping away from the real issues affecting large number of Malayali community in the Gulf. Latest reports suggest that groupism and internal conflicts are growing in Malayali community associations.
