Keralolsavam 2002

The Indian Social Club Malayalam Wing organised an Eid Al Adha Festival in which a number of cultural programmes showing the rich Islamic culture and tradition were presented by the talented wing members. The annual Eid programme is an occasion that send out a clear message that the Malayalam Wing, which consists of members from diverse religious and political groups, accommodate diverse cultures in one platform and retains its secular image. Persian dance, Opana, Group song, Gypsy dance and other cultural programmes were presented.

A glance through the Eid cultural programmes indicate that the ISC Malayalam Wing continues to remain a secular organisation that is able to accommodate diverse socio-political segments of the Keralite community here. Among those who were present on the occasion include Abdul Khaliq, First Consular Indian Embassy, C.N.P.Nampoothiri, Convenor, ISC Malayalam Wing and Tajuddin, the new Co-convenor of Malayalam Wing, senior members like Abraham Mathew and others.(keralamonitor.com)
