Indian School Student Dies due to Reckless Driving by School Bus Driver
In a tragic school bus accident at the International Indian School, Jeddah (IISJ) last weeks, a 15-year-old Maiyada Naushad Khatib was killed. This is the third time a child has died as a result of alleged carelessness on the part of bus drivers working for IISJ.
There are claims and counter claims about the reasons for the accident. According to reports, the school has argued that the girl had some problems, her parents are demanding proper punishment to the bus driver whose reckless driving caused the death. Since this is the Third death in Saudi Indian School due to Careless Driving by school bus driver, the school authorities should take the issue seriously.
By taking stern action against erring drivers they can probably prevent next accident from happening. The girl who died in the accident had a brain tumor, IISJ says, causing her to act in a way that resulted in her death. Maiyada fell from the bus as it drove off when she was getting off at a stop near her home in Sharafiyah last Wednesday afternoon. According to her family the girls abaya and bag became entangled with the door, but the bus driver did not stop. The girl had a brain bypass when she was living in Kuwait. Since the girl had some sort of handicap, the school or school bus driver should have given her more care and attention. -Keralamonitor.com
