Verily! Man is in loss, Except those who believe (in Islamic Monotheism) and do righteous good deeds, and recommend one another to the truth (i.e. order one another to perform all kinds of good deeds (Al-Ma'ruf) which Allah has ordained, and abstain from all kinds of sins and evil deeds (Al-Munkar) which Allah has forbidden), and recommend one another to patience (for the sufferings, harms, and injuries which one may encounter in Allah's Cause during preaching His religion of Islamic Monotheism or Jihad, etc.)."

Babu Janardhanan continues his fierce attack against Communists
Dear Prasannakumar.
MUSCAT : June 8, 2002. This letter is a reply to your second essay appeared in keralamonitor.com. I am very happy to know that you are a Sreenarayaneeyan. The first and important thing I wish to tell you is that Mr. Vellappalli Natesan is a democratically elected Secretary of SNDP. The process of election of the organization is better than any other political organizations. Unlike congress leadership election in India and Kerala, (Sonia Gandhi became as leader of opposition even though she is not a citizen of India by birth, In Kerala Mr K. Muraleedharan became KPCC president with the consideration that he is the son of Leader Mr. Karunakaran.) Do you think that the congress party is not having more eligible candidate for those posts?. These things are happening in our country.
It cannot be controlled by you or me. So my request to you is keep all ideas in mind and now you have to support Mr. Vellapally natesan for the achievements of the community without making any problems to other communities. As you have written in the first paragraph of the letter I am completely supporting Vellapally Natesan. And I also request you as a Sreenarayaneen to support our leader instead of finding some silly mistakes from him. Do you think that you are a 100% perfect man in the world? You can find out mistakes in our community not through open discussion like you have done in keralamonitor.com. Try to do something to our community without making any disturbance to others.
You have written in your letter that during last Assembly election in Kerala Mr Vellapally Natesan demanded CPM to declare openly that if LDF is getting majority V.S. Achuthananthan will become Chief Minister. I don't think there is anything wrong in that idea, because even after declaring in advance, the CPM party have not given a chance to Mrs K.R.Gauriamma to become Chief Minister. And this party will never give chance to V.S as chief Minister if nobody is raising the issue. In reply to that Mr V.S. could not say other than what he said, because he needs to continue as a communist even after this. If V.S is giving another statement supporting Vellapally, he will not be there in CPM afterwards . The sam fate of K.R. Gauriamma will repeat. V.S. is a leader having more knowledge about present politics than Mr.Prasannakumar.
Regarding the un employment, it is major issue in our country. Mr Prassannakumar this unemployment problem cannot be solved completely. I am not believing that it is possible to solve the problem by starting 1000 small scale units by CPM. But this problem can be reduced. I have written about the financial condition of present communist party. You have to think about the way the party earned this much money. Is it a proper way to earn this much money. I don't feel that the people living in huts are only communists. Instead of making multistory buildings in cities the party can do something to poor people for giving some sort of relief from povery. The money they have collected from poor people of villagers and making multi story buildings in cities and giving for rent. Do you think that it is better style of functioning for a communist party?
I am also living in the developed country. Do you know that CPM started fighting against computerization in bank and other organizations years back , that affected the development of our state verymuch. Now even CPM offeces are computerized. My interest is that we have to think about the developments after 15 years and be ready to accept it at that time. So we have to start preperation now for that.
You have written that communists achieved a lot in last 45 years, but SNDP could not do anything in 100 years. Even though it is not fully correct , I wish to tell you that the achievements are because of some sincier leaders like AKG and others. Now the communist leaders are all same as other party leaders. If you remember the value based politics communists follows. Now nobody in CPM is following value based politics. But there are some leaders in CPI having same image of the old Communists. Finally I wish to tell Mr Prasannakumar that I am not against communist. I am against your essays against Mr. Vellapallynatesan who is a far better leader that present CPM leaders.
Expecting future discussion regarding this matter.

Arabic Teacher Sacked overnight, forced to take todays flight.
Dear Sir,
I read the comment of one of the reader. I would like to ask him if his son or daughter was studying in a particular class and one of the student happens to be the daughter of a teacher who comes in to the class and takes the paper from the examiner and corrects the paper and tells the daughter to write the correct answer would he keep quite. Is it not injustice to the other children who put in lot of effort of their own. If he or she is a teacher then she or he has to follow the rules of the school.Another reader

One of the readers
Do you think schools have the right to get forced resignation?
Are teachers indulging in corruption even in conducting examinations?
Do you have a comment on this? email the same to editor@keralamonitor.com
Babu Janardhanan, apparently a supporter of SNDP leader Vellappalli Nateshan has questioned the arguments made by r.M.P.Prasannakumar in one of his recent articles about SNDP vz VNDP. Please read his accusitions against CPM leaders, who follow double standards in all aspects of life -- they dont practice what they preach.

Sir,
I am one of the regular visitor of your website. I am getting lot of
informations from the site. Thank you for maintaining the site informative
and interesting. While updating the site on June 2nd you have introduced some details about
the visit of Vellapally Natesan to Muscat. In the heading of the news you
have given (a headling) visit of vellapally natesan in Muscat. The persons interested to
see the details of the visit of Vellapally will go to the particular news.
When clicking on the item, it is going to the writings of one CPM follower who
have written lot of ideas about the leadership of Vellapally Natesan. Mr
Presannakumar who have written this letter have to think about the
qualifications of all the communist leaders in Kerala. While comparing the
leadership quality of communist leadership. Let him compare the quality of K R Gauriamma and Lonappan Nambadan who is more suitable to become communist leader. What is the position of CPM now purticularly the finantial conditions of the
party. Now the leaders are not ready to sleep with (out) A/c rooms in their house
and offices. Insted of making AKG centre in Trivandrum why the Communist
leadership cannot make 1000 small scale industries each in one panchayat and
give job to all the local commity secreteries of CPM party. Mr Presannakumar
has to think about the present positions of all the leaders of CPM.The CPM leaders are making strike against private engineering colleges and
the children of almost all the cpm leaders are studying in other states with
capitation fees. There are two examples I wish to give you for information
Two Sons of Late Mr.V Sambasivan, one of the CPM leaders competed
proffesional studies from Karnataka. While his sons were studying in private colleges in Karnataka, Sambasivan was talking about communism in all the stages. The son of Late PP Esthose Ex MP of Muvatupuzha completed the Engineering
from Karnataka. There are lot of other examples. Mr Prasanna kumar you dont try to make voices like the one you have given in the website it will of no use.One more thing I wish to get opinion about is the insident of Kollam SN
College. which everybody know the fact that CPM have done a mistake.
Think about it. Please send this message to Presannakumar or please give me the email
address of Presannakumar.Babu.J
One of our regular readers, Mr.Yohannan John, a senior Malayali citizen who has spend most part of his life in Malaysia has the following to say about our article on Kerala plans 100 per cent computer literacy, a report published last month (follow link). Send your comments to editor@keralamonitor.com
Kerala: Aiming 100 per cent computer LiteracyIT @ School envisages making computer education part of the school syllabi from eighth standard onwards with effect from the next academic year. Students of over 2,600 schools in the State will get the benefit of the programme. Full Report
The Editor
Kerala Monitor.Sir,
Please permit me to refer to the article by Biju K Mathew Re:
KERALA: TARGETTING CENTPERCENT COMPUTER LITERACY. He wrote:...."The
programme is designed in such a way that computer will be a subject in
the Secondary School Leaving Certificate Exam. After three years, this
move will further push forward the State which gained 100 per cent
literacy for the first time in India, towards the march to gain cent per
cent computer literacy in the State."I wish to point out that the notion that Kerala has attained one
hundred percent literacy is demonstration of ignorance of the real
situation! The 1991 census figures put the state as first in India with
a literacy rate of 89.81 percent- far away from the one hundred
percent. According to a survey conducted in 1999, Kerala was only
fourth in India with a figure of 93 percent- way behind Andamans and
Nicobar Islands which occupied the first place with 97 percent. (I must
add that being behind Andamans and Nicobars is it is nothing to be
ashamed of because the population of that place is only one percent of
the population of Kerala). The point is Kerala is not hundred
percent literate as we often boast and we have a long way to go.Before I conclude, let me comment on the attempt to attain hundred
percent computer literacy: It may sound good idea, some thing that can
presumably make us very proud in three years time. But are we ready for
it? Do we know the consequences of giving too much emphasis to computer
studies - putting a child in front of a screen when it may not even
know how to work out mentally the sum of two and three or do not know
which finger to use to type the letters it wants to put on the screen. It is a good dream to get hundred percent computer literacy for the
state where there are over twenty seven lakhs of dormant files at the
moment without a chance of seeing sunlight within the near future. It
is amazing the dream crops up just two days after the ministers of the
state were granted for the first time access to e-mail. Was it just a
coincidence?Sincerely yours.
Yohannan John.
