Do you think that this is a photograph of coconut trees of Alappuzha or any other place in Kerala? ![]() Sorry, this is a coconut plantation in Salalah, a coastal town in the Dhofar region of the Sultanate of Oman. As the region has coastal climate and rainfall during the khareef season, there is vegetation and greenery in this part of the Arabian desert. Thanks to its unique gegraphical features similar to a typical Kerala village, Dhofar region is being developed into a major tourism and holiday destination for the Arabs. Especially during the Summer when the temperature goes up substantially, Arabs from other countries find an asylum in Salalah. |
Arabs traditionally live in mountain valleys where there is enough scope for agriculture and drinking water.
