UK India Business Council plan to Recruit India’s top graduates for free

London: The UK-India Graduate Work Experience Programme is an ideal way for your business to establish or strengthen links with India. The objective of this new Government-funded scheme, which brings the brightest future business stars from India to the UK, is to increase the understanding of each other’s business environments, encourage cultural exchange and thinking at a business level and to nurture the high-flyers of the future.

The Programme gives your business access to India’s top graduates without the need to run a complicated or expensive marketing and recruitment campaign, while offering India’s most promising an opportunity to secure an invaluable internship at a UK company for between 12 and 50 weeks. It is a ‘win-win’ situation, with businesses engaging graduates who have fresh ideas and up-to-date skills, and the graduates gaining a platform to put into practice all they have learnt in their undergraduate and/or postgraduate degree.

All interns will have first-hand experience of Indian culture, language, education and business practices. They must be Indian Nationals and have studied at an Indian University, while also scoring a minimum of 6.5 in the IELTS English test, enabling them to live and work in the UK with ease.

Over and above funding, the UK Government provides guaranteed visas to each intern enabling them to work in the UK for up to 50 weeks. There are only a limited number of visas, however, and therefore now is the time to have your business sign up for the next intake, which will take place in April 2010.

All logistics and administration will be handled by GTI Recruiting Solutions, including marketing within India, filtering applications received through our applicant tracking system and conducting preliminary face-to-face interviews before submitting the ‘best fit’ candidates to the employer. You will have the opportunity to conduct telephone or face-to-face interviews with the screened candidates and have the final decision on who you wish to recruit. GTI then arranges the necessary visas, bank accounts, flights and accommodation for successful candidates.

This opportunity is open to companies of all sizes, within all sectors.
