New Job Rackets through Internet and Virtual Offices Loot Overseas Job Seekers

DUBAI – THIRUVANANTHAPURAM – A new recruitment syndicate has apparently duped many unemployed youth from Kerala and other parts of the country and the Middle East in a smart way using a virtual office on the Internet and a temporary office in the prestigious Emirates Towers building, Sheikh Zayed Road, Dubai. It is learned that a company called Saturnjobs registered an office in the Emirates Towers two months back and hosted a website (http://www.saturnjobs.com) offering lucrative jobs in various categories to qualified and not so qualified candidates. Unlike the normal visa racket, which cheats people by charging one lakh and above for visas, this “virtual” recruiting agent has been taking only 75 pounds equivalent to Indian Rupees Six thousand, 6300 per candidate as recruitment fees.
“We are getting many inquiries from relatives of people working in Dubai about Saturnjobs.com. It is true that the company has booked a temporary office space in the Emirates Towers Level 4 as a recruitment agent. However, they never opened the office. Temporary office space is available in the prestigious Emirates towers of Dubai to any international businessman by paying two months rent of few thousand dhirams,” says an Emirates Tower official. Believing that the virtual recruiting company (www.saturnjobs.com) with an office in the Emirates Towers - the tallest and landmark building in the UAE - must be a prestigious recruiting agent, many candidates have paid 75 pounds as recruitment fees, after they are convinced that international companies in Japan, Malaysia, Singapore and Saudi Arabia have lucrative job offers.
“We had a recruiting company called Saturnjobs here. They have closed office now,” said Emirates tower officials. However, they said many phone calls and letters are coming from people duped by the company. “Now we are sending back all the mails. People of many nationalities who have relatives in Dubai are making inquiries about this company,” said Emirates Tower sources.
"The attractively designed website offers more than 200 categories of jobs starting from accountant, secretary, window glazer to Plant Engineer and Software professionals. The company has not given any office phone or fax numbers and give special instruction to candidates to contact through emails only,” said Rajesh Kumar from Trivandrum, one of the victims, lured to the site through advertisement in newspapers and chat rooms.
Rajesh Nair from Thiruvananthapuram was offered a lucrative job through the website in a Tokyo based company as Accounts Assistant with a salary after taxes of 311,500 Japanese Yen Per Month equal to 129,288 Indian Rupees. The company maintains contacts with the candidates only through emails and the Internet, a clear indication that its intention was fraudulent. One Mr.Colin Sampson used to interact with the candidates.

i also had the same offer with out interviewing nor even talking to me nor even not seeing me thru photo also and all the persons who has got offer is only in japan and company is ---(Sekiotma Furuhashi , 7-26-3 Sendagi, Kume-Gun, Shibuya-Ku, Tokyo 113-0012 Japan (The 'Employer') ) and this satrunjobs.com is just has registered his website just 4 months back ie. in november 2003 which can tell us that he is just started. anyway guys be careful. i dont believe this at all.

Hi friends
I have been researching on this Saturn Jobs & their job offers & reading all of your comments
on the internet. I got similar offer and the company was Sekiotma Furuhashi. The Registry of
Commerce number & Registration Code were same as given to our friend from UP Mr. Sumit.
They offered me the post of Legal Secretary even though I don't know any Japanese laws.
I have searched in web site of Japanese telephone directory, pharamaceutical companies
directory, chamber of commerce, business association etc. No such named company exists in
Tokyo. The name is not even in Tokyo Stock Exchange website. How can that be if this is really
such a big company as saturnjobs claim it to be. To me it seems to be a fraud.
I have e-mailed to Japanese Foreign Affairs Ministry and also to Tokyo Governor. If these
people are really a big gang then they might be capable to set up a small office in Japan or Dubai
or anywhere they want. Even if they agree to give us a telephone number, it might be a false
one i.e. their own person might be residing in Japan and receiving the phone call. So strictly
speaking, there is no evidence that any foreign company is offering us jobs as mentioned to us by
saturnjobs. They haven't even given their telephone number. I even doubt if they are located in
Dubai.
If I am not wrong, in Jan 2004 when their advertisement appeared in The Hindu & Times of
Inda, I think they mentioned that they were a new consultant and now in their emails they say
they are providing placements to many from 1983.
Most-of-all their website doesn't seem to be a professional one. I am sure that many of us
jobseekers might be visiting many consultant websites, just compare other consultant sites with
this one. It doesn't look appealing.
I am waiting for a reply from Japanese officials, to support my findings. Then I think I am going
to ask The Hindu & Times of India to publish all of our findings and comments on this matter so
that many others will be carefull and not fall in trap.
If any of the concerned Indian Government officials happen to visit this page then I request them
to do the needful by tracking down these recruiters and bust their racket once for all.

2. Type saturnjobs in google and see for urself links like drishtipat.org
3. The web site expires on nov 05 2004, it was created only for one year for cheating.
4. The web site itself contains no phone numbers, just think a consultant of UAE giving jobs of Japan and operating from the UK !!! A BIG SCAM.
5. Saturnjobs has cheated lakhs of people in Bangladesh They have promised jobs and taken 55 pounds each but no jobs as usual.
6. I have e mailed cyber crime cell Mumbai but no response
I think friends we should contact INTERPOL or send e mail to leading newspapers in UK (like Sun)

Hi all out there this is Narayan S S working as Asst Manager shop floor improvements for the Premier mills group Coimbatore.
I too was offered the same remunertion perks & benefits but for the post of Manager business development thru saturn jobs.
I had my own doubts & had asked for a few clarifications for which obviously there was no response.
Other major highlights of my queries were
* Received order, job responsibility ,contract ,confirmation etc without my agreement.
* Mails were received from different senders.
* Official id & web page address were not disclosed for some stupid jusification.
* Id's & phone numbers of people sent to japan thru saturn were not disclosed & person offered the job had to send letters to get things clarified.
*Whereas these racketeers would not encourage anyother mode of communication other than mails.The reason being having a mail & web page doesnt call for a registered office building.
* Queries were not answered even after repeated mailing.
Please see that saturn is advertising in the opportunities column of the daily The Hindu & people who lay faith in this daily are gullible.So instead of awaiting details of payment made to saturn as per Bhavana's idea what I would suggest is that this can be very well published in the web & papers so that a lot of pople would be benefitted.I at the same time appreciate the sincere efforts of Bhavana.
A few people like us were smart enough to find the glitch & act accordingly others who are in real urge to land in a good job wouldnt mind shelling Rs 6225/- for a placement abroad.
Let me wind up by saying No pain no gain must be the motto of every candidate aspiring a good professional career. |

Am currently working in Japan (around 4 years now). My parents asked me to enquire abt a company. They were asked by some of their friends as their sons/daughters got some "good" offer from a Japanese company. The address is:

We checked the Tokyo Atlas together and could find only upto 5 AREAs in Sendagi county. The number mentioned in the address is 7 (first number in 7-26-3).
Pls be very careful with these fraud companies and advertisements. Pls don't send any of yours/parents precious hard earned money to these fraud people. Try to forget forget this offer and look for something realistic. Best of luck on your further job search.

I too received a job offer(position of s/w developer in a pharmaceutical company!!!) in Tokyo from this fake Saturnjobs.com website which seems to be a total goof up.
This info given below is to help track the fraud website people & to keep all the chetana-job seekers at alert.
I tried finding out about the authentication of the address and was told that a company with a similar name existed way back in 1983 in Tokyo and had an office in Blore, but there is no company by the name mentioned in the job offer letter.
