KM Talent Scan Rozario can speak through her paintings Pictures and report by Priya R S Trivandrum Thiruvananthapuram: An exhibition of paintings by Ms.M. Rozario is being exhibited in the Thiruvananthapuram Museum Auditorium. The exhibition consists of oil paintings by Rozario. Rozario (45) who cant speak or hear. However her paintings do speak volumes about her hidden talent. Being an orphan, Rozario was brought up in Chennai by the ICM sisters in Little Flower Convent,Chennai. It was in 1999 that Rozario arrived at the St.Roch's Convent run by the ICM sisters in Thiruvananthapuram. One of the sisters in the St.Roch's Convent Sr.Annie discovered the artist in Rozario and helped it bud and bloom. Later on she became a member of the Srothus Charitable Trust.

According to Sr.Annie, Rozario after her SSLC took a great interest in embroidery and did it for 25 years. Unlike girls of her age who got married early, she wanted to do some kind of work and make an identity of her own, rather than spend her life in between the walls of household life. The art of painting is her greatest interest now and she prefers to pursue it in future too. Her first painting exhibition was held at Little Flower Convent, Chennai from 21st Feb 2003, to 23rd.
Though Rozario is speech and hearing impaired, her paintings do show her talents as an artist and touched the minds of hundreds of viewers. There are paintings, which deal with life in Kerala, mythology, nature and also portraits from many walks of life.
