Amateur Indian Writer in Doha!

DOHA - Sapna Anu B George , the Doha correspondent of Keralamonitor.com is an aspiring author, social worker and a humanist -all rolled together in one. She has been trying to maintain a balance between her family life and career motives. Hailing from a known traditional Christian family of Central Kerala, she is not much influenced by the Rubber plantation culture predominant in that part of the state. She belongs to Kottayam, the first district in Kerala to achieve cent per cent literacy. In that true spirit she has a keen interest in writing both in English and Malayalam..Kottayam is a place from where the maximum number of vernacular publications are printed. The award winning author Arundhathi Roy hails from Aymanam, in the same district. Kottayam is the land of rubber plantations, letters and even the famous lagoons of Kumarakam resort. But hailing from such a place is not enough to achieve stardom in the literary field. What is required is real hard work and Sapna is doing .

Unlike the majority of Gulf Keralite housewives who are satisfied with their posh life style and socialising, she has a liking for reading, writing and much more. Educated in leading colleges like CMS and All Saints, she keeps her links with former friends by starting an alumni association in Doha. Married to an Engineer, this mother of three is actively pursuing her journalism career. She writes for a number of Internet portals, including the leading names like Asianet (Keralaonline), That is Malayalam to name a few. In order to finish her writings at odd hours in the night, she spends sleepless nights. Of course she has the moral support of her engineer husband and children.

 Her poem "Hope Of tomorrow" is chosen as one of the finalist of World Poetry competition. Sapna is a wife, mother and house wife, about which she is proud of .Despite adverse circumstances she is trying to use her writing skill to become a known literary person in the near future. She tried, experimented and felt satisfied with her handy work. She considers her self to be an amateur journalist. She has miles to go before the acclaimed honour reaches her……………!

Writing is a kind of psycho neural muscular activity which helps bridge and integrates the conscious and subconscious minds. Writing distills, and crystallizes and clarifies thought and help break the whole into parts.

Sapna George born into an aristocratic family in the District of Kottayam-Kerala- State in India has from her school days exercised the use of the most powerful instrument, the pen, to conceptualize and evolve thought provoking and life transforming poems and articles.

Sapna believes that her works are meant to be understood by every ones invisible inner intelligence, which lies deep with self and we have the powers to make contact and create a life of bliss.

Elaborating transformation, she goes on by saying there is something divine that goes through all things you cannot get hold of it. Eg. Little seedling which has tree ness in it when put into the ground. You cannot see the tree ness you cannot see the tree but you know it is in there.

This is true in our lives as well, we have greatness, we have an energy which is so privileged,and it flows through you, and it comes into contact with everything you come into contact. Know it, begin to trust it, and you would b e able to experience a transformation of life.

Achievements, Certifications, and Awards

She has a Masters degree in English Literature and a Diploma in Journalism and Tourism to boast of. "Though I never used any of this as a profession, I develop my skills as a matter of interest. But I have taken up tourism later on and worked for Indian Airlines and AirIndia As well," she says. Sapna has been active in the socio-cultural activates in Doha as an active member of the Indian Social Club.

Background & Major Influences.

" Marriage and Motherhood has taken the major part of my time and I wanted to do justice to both, which I did, by concentrating on one, my life. Rather than synchronizing, both carrier and life," she says. "Now that I am proud of my handy work, walking past me to the school with "Bye mom", I have all the free time in the world, to pursue, all my hobbies and passions. Matter of fact, I had always wondered what makes people choose , carriers and profession, the hazels they go through to achieve a goal, agents all the odds. This particular factor took to choose personalities and interview them write about them, present them in my celluloid," she says.
