KERALA MONITOR School Principal arrested in sexual harassment case of minor girl, Two Arabs alleged culprits keralamonitor.com Thiruvananthapuram: Is there another racket involving big wigs in the Gulf who are in league with the rich Arabs who are sponsoring some of the orphanages run by charities in Kerala. Giving another sensational dimension to sex crime in the state, the principal of an orphanage school run by a religious charitable organisation has been arrested for sexually harrassing a minor girl. The culprits involved two Arab men, who have reportedly been helping the orphanage in which the girl was living. After the ice cream parlour issue and sex trafficking crimes involving Kerala and the Gulf countries involving leading figures of religious political groups, is there another crime syndicate which is misusing philanthrophy for covert sex crimes on minor Kerala girls?
Indications are that there is some sort of an unholy nexus between people in the Gulf and Kerala. Last week the Kerala police have arrested the principal of a residential school for orphans in Thrissur district for allegedly abusing a minor girl for more than five years and presenting her to two Arab sponsors. The girl has undergone medical examination at the Thrissur Medical College and the doctors have confirmed sexual harassment.
According to the police, the school principal C. Haneefa (44) of Edavanakkad, was produced before the Chavakkad First Class Magistrate. The culprit is now in police remand for 15 days. Even though the police could not identify the nationality of the two Arabs, Abdurrahman and Abdul Manaf, who are among the seven accused, the incident appears to be only a tip of the iceberg.
According to the Circle Inspector Ramachandran, an investigative officer of the case the police have registered cases against seven accused on the basis of a statement given by the minor girl who identified two of her tormentors as Arabs who used to donate substantial amounts of money to the Shaheed Faizal Orphanage at Farooque Nagar in Vadanappally.Police have launched a manhunt in the state for four others, watchman Saidu, electrician Fabian, and Saidus friends Ali and Habeeb.
The whole story came to light when the minor girl approached Kerala Womens Commission members P. K. Zainab and advocate V. Santhakumari seeking help, they took her to the local police station, where she gave the statement. The major question is whether there are any other. The authorities of the orphanage controlled by the Jamaat-e-Islami, have issued a statement denying the allegations. The statement said the whole case was fabricated to tarnish the image of the institute and its promoters. The ice cream parlour sex crime in Kerala involved big wigs of a leading political party. The growing sex trafficking from Kerala to the Gulf is also believed to have the blessings of big wigs of Kerala politics.
