SMC has Monopoly right to sack teachers -claims Muladha SMC
"We are the appointing as well as the removal authority of teachers as per the guidelines set by the embassy and approved by the ministry of education for the BoD and School Management committees. So there is no right for the board to write such a letter. However, the SMC members accepted their arrogance in sacking thew two teachers overnight, without paying any compensation.
"We are willing to pay 3 months salary to Mr.Biju Mohan and 5 months salary to Mr.Jayaram G.Panicker as compensation, plus air tickets as proposed by honourable labour department authorities on 27 July 2003," they said in the letter.
