One More Girl Kidnap in Dubai...

English Media Still Silent About Smitha...

A three-year-old girl went missing on a shopping trip four days ago, about a fortnight after the young Keralite lady went missing from her apartment in Karama a day after she arrived in the city to join her newly married couple. Even though the relatives of Smitha back home are desperately searching for the young lady, who was reportedly abducted by the sex traffickers, another young girl went missing from the heart of the crowded city. Little Mboup Mame Fatima could not have disappeared and her mom Absa Lo would not have lost this little girl, had the authorities vigilant about such crimes. Both the crimes happened in the same georgraphical area. “I just don’t know whether my little girl is alive or the mainstream English newspapers remained silent about the mysterious disappearance of a young lady from her apartment, giving an impression that the journalistic community too approved the criminal gangs that engage in sex trafficking and women related crime.

Here it is not the nationality or the age of the crime victim that is important, but the dual standard followed by the mainstream English media in the region. “The family are hoping and praying that our beautiful girl can be found and I know the police are doing everything they can.” Officers at Naif police station are appealing for help from anyone in the area who might have seen Mboup when she went missing at 4pm on Friday. They have already taken statements from shoppers who were in the area and Naif residents, and are not ruling out any lines of inquiry. What is happening to Smitha, the bride who went missing from her Karama apartment. Her husband is still in police custody. The so called Indian associations remain silent and the sex trafficking syndicate continues their sex trade without any difficulty. The approach of the law enforcement authorities is unknown, but the outcome of the investigation indicates that they are unable to tackle such a minor kidnap case...or is there any other reason for not retrieving the missing girl? The biased approach of the English media towards Smitha's parents is clearly a symptom of its

Newly Married Girl on Visit Visa Missing from Karama Apartment

“We have lived together only 1 Day in Dubai. She is missing”

DUBAI – A newly married couple’s honeymoon period ended abruptly in tragedy as the husband claims that the young wife has been missing since yesterday from their sharing accommodation in Karama, one day after she landed in Dubai on a visit visa. The apparently desperate husband of 24 years old Suma (name changed) from Ernakulam, Kerala says he has lived with the newly married girl only 17 days including one day in Dubai. “Suma has been missing since yesterday. When I left for work at 5 AM, she was happy and smiling. She did not appear to have any problems. By evening 7 PM when I returned to the accommodation, she was missing,” says the husband, who claimed that he has already lodged a complaint with the Dubai Police about his missing wife. “She has left a two page letter written in Malayalam stating that she is going with her lover in Abu Dhabi. In the letter she has thanked me for bringing her to Dubai. I dont know what has happened and she never told me about any such friends here,” the husband told Evening Post. “She is my own wife and how can I afford to miss her. Her family is accusing me for no reason,” he added. “I took a visit visa for her from a Sharjah travel agency and we lived together in Dubai only one day,” he added. “I am standing in the Emmigration counter of Indian Consulate in Dubai to make a formal complaint,” he added. However, the Indian Consulate General Venugopal and Sawant Goel, who are looking after such cases said they did not receive any such complaint till 10.15 AM. “The girls family in Kerala is also accusing me and I am helpless. I have already made a formal police complaint with the Al Rafa Police Station on Saturday night,” he added. “In the leter, she has stated that she was in love with someone in Abu Dhabi and her marriage with me was just to reach Dubai,” he added. “Some one called me yesterday night and threatened with dire consequences,” he added. However, the parent of the missing bride told Evening Post from Ernakulam that the girl was taken to Dubai through Delhi airport. “We have arranged for her marriage with the boy who work in Dubai. She has a MCA (Master of Computer Application) degree and was working in Ernakulam.” “The marriage was facilitated through a broker and we dont know the name of the mother in law who took her to New Delhi,” she says. “The mother in law came to our house and took the girl to New Delhi on 28th August. When we asked why they are traveling from New Delhi and not any airport in Kerala, they said tickets were not available,” added the girls aunty. “The marriage took place four months ago and we did not receive any call from her after she reached Dubai,” she added. “All the certificates were attested and they took her to Dubai,” she added. She sounded unhappy about the missing case and fears some foul play, which is ruled out by the shattered husband. Police investigation is on and only time will tell the real story behind the missing or absconding bridegroom.

The Missing Malayali Girl likely to be Kidnapped by Dubai Sex Racket..... Letter Could be Fake..

Continuation of Inter Gulf Kidnap Syndicate?

KM investigation indicates that the Keralite girl who went missing just a day after arriving in Dubai to live with her husband Sabu seems to be trapped by a sex racket with the help of a close female companion. It is learned that the husband who works as a fitter for a company lives in his labour camp in Al Qoos and brought his newly wed wife four months after the marriage with the help of a lady, who has arranged the money, visit visa and the Karama villa, where the couple lived for one day. According to sources, the husband arranged Dhs.3800 from a lady, whom he met in the Christian Church. The lady, who works as part time housemaid is summoned to the Naif Police Station where investigation about the missing girl is progressing. The girl, a 24 years old young computer graduate came to Dubai with a visit visa given by Sharjah Travel Agency (STA). The mysterious letter which is believed to have been written by the missing girl is learned to be a fake one as its style of writing and the script are different from her own handwriting. However, the husband has sought asylum in the police station, after he was allegedly attacked by some unidentified gang, which took away his suitcase that contained the mysterious letter. He said they threatened to kill him and his parents are worried. From the available information it seems that the girl has been smartly trapped by the sex traffiers, who are always coming forward to help such husbands, who are unable to bring their wives to Dubai and lead a normal family life. The worried family feels that the letter is fake and the girl is not an absconding type. "She kissed me before leaving for job. I still love her and I feel strongly that she will come back," the husband says. ... Sabu has claimed that all the gold ornaments are in the Indian Overseas Bank locker in the name of Smitha. Before he was arrested the husband of missing Smitha told journalists whome he met that the gold ornaments are with the girl. However, reports suggest quoting her parents that the gold ornaments (18 Pavan) was brought to Dubai, as per the instructions of Sabu. Who is right? Girls uncle who used to work in the offshore field has left to India on the same day she was missing. According to the parents, the marriage through a broker (newspaper matrimonial) was without the consent of the uncle, who was unhappy with the boy's credentials. However, the parents insisted that the marriage will be good for the girl. It is common among gulf Keralites to project a different identity and get married. While many get away with it, in some cases the marriages end up in divorce and other discords. In this case, Smitha was happy about the marriage, especially after the short counselling service through a Church.

Kerala Monitor White Washing Sex Traffickers???

The report given below has provoked some of the leading journalists of Dubai who have been waiting and watching the situation before reporting the missing girls case. While Gulf Madhyamam, a newspaper that could be credited with giving maximum coverage to the ice cream parlour case and other sex scandals in India and the Gulf finally broken the silence and carried a news item, in which the paper has casted doubts about an English journalist and website, for reporting the story. According to Gulf Madhyamam, an English journalist (an obvious reference to V.M.Sathish who reported the story first in the Emirates Evening Post) has fully white washed the husband, who has turned out to be villain. Those who have read the first report and following up KM reports would know the reality. The Gulf Madhyamam report also says the "hurried reporting" by the media helped Sabu to present a distorted picture of the event. With all due respect to the Gulf Madhyamam friends, with whome we have always shared many positive ideas, we reiterate the fact that the mainstream Malayalam media in Dubai including Gulf Madhyamam failed to report the story for unknown reasons. While the allegation of hurried reporting may be questioned at different levels, it is a fact that the mainstream media took more than a week to report the story which itself is self revealing. The girl was missing since September 2 and the first story appeared in the Emirates Evening Post on September 2. The follow up story was not published by the afternoon paper and another English paper due to their own internal reasons. Does it require more than a week to report a story. While a Dubai based journalist may be many limitations to report the story from the Indian side, these well networked newspapers with bureaus in every districts in the state could easily do so. This is not the first time that KM is experiencing such situations.During the press conference of Chief Minister Chandy in Dubai the question of sex trade from Kerala to Gulf was raised. When the question was raised to Shri Pinarayi Vijayan, the CPM General Secretary, he tried to divert attention by arm twisting tactis. So what is next..?
