Master Nirmal Unnikrishnan, a tenth
standard student of Indian School Darsait, Muscat, has been the
first prize winner of Classical Music competitions organised
by the Indian Social Club, Malayalam Wing. Fourteen year old
Nirmal, a talented singer, has got first prize in classical music
consecutively for the last three years' . During Onam Celebrations
in 1999, 2000 and 2001 he got first prize in classical music.
In the Keralolsavam 2002 organised by the Indian Social Club
Kerala Wing, Nirmal got first prizeClassical Music competition.
In addition, he has been the second
prize winner of the prestigious music competition organised by
the ISC. In the year 2000 and 2001, Nirmal got second prize in
the ISC Late Shri Gokaldas Khimji Memorial Classical Music competitions.
Son of Unnikrishnan P, Nirmal has been learning music for the
last eight years under the guidance of Guru Ramesh Narayanan.
