Ambassador not leaving as per the doomsday predictions
Meeana, fighting the mighty till the last drop of blood

June 20, 2003 Many doomsday predictors who are eagerly waiting for the early exit of the Indian Ambassador, K.M.Meena, the patron of Indian Schools from Muscat will have a heart break to know that he is not leaving as per their predicted schedule. Some journalists who are covertly working for the private businessman-school lobby has been taking all pain to fix the date for the ambassadors exit from Muscat so that the private business lobby can continue to loot the Indian community, especially ordinary parents. The doomsday predictors even offered him a new place of appointment "for his valuable service to the Indian community." Bribing even the ambassadors dog and servants, the business lobby has been covertly monitoring his movements, the people he meets and even other minute details of his daily programmes. KM reporters received several frantic calls from the well wishers of the business community to know when is the ambassador leaving! "You know better, is he leaving? when is he leaving?" asked at least ten people who are close to the business groups interested in schools.

These businessmen who are worried about the financial loss, if they lose control over Indian community schools, are propagating an idea through an "investigative journalist" with a sportsman spirit that "the Indian community" will have a "sigh of relief and some chance of stability" after mid July 2003 - the deadline that they have given for the Ambassador's exit. "Let them be rest assured that the ambassador is not leaving as per their prediction and schedule. The transfer issue is in the Central Administrative Tribunal and the place of his transfer is not yet announced. The doomsday predictors who have spent lot of energy, money and influence to get him transferred just after completing two years in office will definitely be disappointed," say sources.

The" future direction and constructive work" that the so called community leaders talk about through their mouthpiece is already clear from the fact that one of the schools controlled by a business tycoon has already jacked up fees by about 25 per cent for new admissions. While some of the private schools are credited with charging the highest fees, fixed without the embassy permission, another school seems to be trying to match the fees in other Indian community private school.

Is there not limit to the greed of the multimillionaires to squeeze out the parents blood and hard earned money?? Are they are trying to recover the money spent on getting the ambassador transferred (by using women, wine and wealth) from the parents? It is business as usual for them and the money spent on 30 members of parliament who had signed Memorandums for the ambassadors transfer need to be recovered from poor parents!

The magical power of the business lobby to change people's attitude is clear from the fact that some of the so called socially concerned NRIs who show two different faces to get into power turn their avowed pro community approach within no time of assuming prominent positions in the board and school committees. -keralamonitor.com

Former Board members Propaganda against Kerala Monitor, but covert support for businessman's mouthpiece.

A former board member, who has been close to the patron is said to be working covertly to provide infrmation to the patron's rivals. It is known that some of the latest news breaks, especially exclusive letters written by a board member, were attributed to a member who has been acting like a double agent! The board member who never wasted any opportunity to praise the Indian shaikhs and tycoons pretendd to be the most obedient community worker in front of the patron.

The beloved board member, who came from nowhere to such a prominent position, has been spreading maximum misinformation and hate campaign against one of the KM journalists. "Why is he talking so much negatively about Keralamonitor, which has played an important role in exposing school scandals. I was surprised to hear the board member talk in this fashion," says an active member of the Indian social and community activities. "Beware of some shadows like him. You dont know his real colour," alerted another socially active member of the Indian community. Even when he used to praise the patron for his "historic role" and selfless service to the Indian community, the board member would silently leak out some information which will help the private school lobby. "He knows the people behind the cyber campaign against the ambassador," said sources close to the board member. There was also a proposal to "neutralize" KM, details will be relased later. "The same tone of his personal vendetta against KM journalist is reflected in the businessman's mouthpiece and propaganda machinery.
