Indian Government too Concerned about Cartoons!
Manmohan trying to Pacify Muslims angered with India's vote against Iran trying a Green Cover Up.....
The Government of India is deeply concerned about the growing controversy over the publication of cartoons that offend the Muslim Community worldwide. "At the time these offending cartoons were first published, Indian outrage at this had been conveyed to the Danish Government both in New Delhi and in Copenhagen, in October, 2005 itself. It was suggested by the Government at that time that apologies should be sought and assurances obtained by the Danish Government that the concerned newspaper would prevent recurrence of such incidents," said an official statement. " It is incumbent on all of us to be sensitive to the beliefs and sentiments of others and avoid all actions that cause hurt to them. India's commitment to religious harmony and tolerance is unshakeable and actions that cause hurt to the sentiments of any part of our people are not acceptable," it added. "
India to discuss gas pipeline with Pak tomorrow
India and Pakistan will discuss execution of the over 7 billion dollar Iran-Pakistan-India gas pipeline when Pakistan's Minister of Petroleum and Natural Resources Amanullah Khan Jadoon visits New Delhi tomorrow. "Main issues grappling the project are pricing of gas (to be imported by Pakistan and India through the pipeline from Iran) and project structure," Press Trust of India quoted Petroleum Secretary M S Srinivasan .
India's Petroleum Minister Murli Deora would court Jadoon on evolving a project structure for building and operation of the pipeline before a trilateral meeting between the three sides is held towards March-end or early April. "The issue is whether the pipeline be built as a consortia (by the three countries) or by each one doing the bit in their own country... Pakistan and India have shared the idea of a consortium doing the pipeline. We will discuss it further and go to Cabinet if the general consensus was for that," he said.
The Cabinet had last year authorised Petroleum Ministry to hold separate bilateral talks with Pakistan and Iran for buying gas at its border. Also to be discussed during the visit would be diesel exports by Indian Oil Corp (IOC) to Pakistan, Srinivasan said. "We consider (Jadoon's visit) an important one because both sides are eager to see the project through," he said. Talmiz Ahmad, Additional Secretary (International Cooperation), Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas, said India was concerned about security of supplies therefore the project structure would be built in such a way to make it legally binding for on each one to ensure uninterrupted supply of gas.
