One of the employees of Haifa Construction died here two days back due to what the company said was a heart attack. The worker from Andhra in his late thirties died due to a heart attack when he was working in the company's workshop in Ghala Industrial area.
According to Haifa sources, the deceased employee was getting his payment and the deadbody is kept in the Royal Hospital. It may be recalled that several hundred workers of Haifa Construction were not getting regular payment.
"The company has been rescheduling workers payment and after the last meeting, they have not come back to us. The Indian Embassy is not aware of any death in the company. We will check up with Haifa about the workers death," said a senior embassy official, who has been handling the workers problem. -keralamonitor.com
