International Sex Racket has Muscat VIP Links
150 Dance Girls from India who were coming to Muscat by IC 885 Flight were caught in Gujarath!
Ahmedabad, Dec. 20 The Ahmedbad crime branch is cracking down an international prostitution racket with possible underworld links and arrested four persons on Wednesday. Some VIPs and prominent Indians in Muscat are allegedly part of the Middle East- India sex traffic syndicate. Even though some prominent Non Resident Indian name is made public by the police, KM is not publishing now. The VIP being monitored by the Gujarath police have close links with leading Gujarathi businessmen, hotel industry and bureaucrats.
According to officials, the Ahmedabad airport was being used for sending girls to Gulf countries, especially Oman for prostitution.According to sources, senior Crime Branch officials jointly with Airport Immigration Authority, had detained four girls and one man from hotel Nilam, Shahibaug, on December 10. They were to board flight IC 885 to Muscat under "band visa". During their interrogation, the girls disclosed that they were brought from Mumbai to Ahmedabad in a Qualis car by Imam Hussein, a Bangladesh national residing in Oman and Iwan alias Amit Christian of Mumbai on December 8.
The police officials said with Mumbai police deploying strict vigil, the business of immoral trafficking was diverted to Ahmedabad. The prostitution business picks up in Middle East countries after Id and therefore Ahmedabad was being used as a safe transit point, said police officials.
A leading Gujarathi Newspaper quoted P.P. Pandey, Joint Commissioner of Police, Crime Branch: "The police smells an underworld link in this entire episode." Justifying this, he said: "Any illegal business done with Gulf countries cannot be done without underworld link. Prostitution, per se, is not an offence but when it is institutionalised through such a network, it becomes an offence of serious nature."
According to crime branch officials, Imam Hussain used to pick up girls from Mumbai dance parties and send them to various countries for three months under "band visa". Pandey said the girls got just 20 per cent of the promised amount, the rest going to agents and hotel managers abroad.
The four arrested are Sanjeev alias Anand Shukla and Rishikesh Sengupta, both residents of Mumbai, besides Amit Christian and Imam Hussein. They have been arrested under IPC 120(B) and Immoral Trafficking Act. The girls are under police protection and would be handed over to their relatives soon, said crime branch sources.(keralamonitor.com)
